K-2 Vocabulary Workflows

I co-designed the detective case file workflow for K-2 vocabulary learning and contributed to the broader vocabulary experience across seven months of collaboration. Both the detective prototype and a parallel word wall prototype (led by another designer on the pod) were approved for and tested in qualitative usability research with nine K-2 students. The detective direction faced skepticism over technical complexity, so I documented the full reflow specs to prove feasibility. With both options on equal footing, the team chose the detective designs.

This was a cross-functional pod effort. I owned the detective workflow, high-fidelity prototyping, component systems, and cross-product look and feel. Jasmine organized the high-level project structure and co-designed the synonym activity. Sarah led animation direction. Lily contributed to animation and illustrations. Research was conducted by Zennebe.
